For 43 years, Ronald McDonald House Southern New Jersey has provided supportive care for families traveling to access healthcare for their children. Additionally, our nine hospital Family Rooms located throughout Southern New Jersey, are a comfortable place for parents, siblings, and extended family members to rest and take a quiet moment. These Family Rooms provide respite and allow parents and caregivers to remain on their child’s hospital floor.
In 1983, the first Ronald McDonald House Southern New Jersey opened its doors in a modest, 10-bedroom Victorian rowhome located behind Cooper University Healthcare. Over the years, the organization has been able to expand greatly, thanks to the generosity of community groups, donors, and volunteers.
In 1998, due to increased demand and hospital partnerships, Ronald McDonald House Southern New Jersey built a larger facility, equipped with 26-bedroom suites, warm nourishing meals, free on-site laundry, and a handicap-accessible playground.
Today, there are 390 Ronald McDonald House Programs around the world!
